The phone is still the front door
Every trade around here has a website, and almost none of their customers use it to get in touch. A burst pipe is a phone call. What happens in the sixty seconds after that call goes unanswered decides who gets the job, and almost nobody is managing those sixty seconds.
Software should not speak for you without permission
Every word we send on your behalf is written down, shown to you, and switched off until you say otherwise. Nothing auto-enables. Nothing quotes a price. Nothing promises a time. If a message would go out with a blank in it, we refuse to send it rather than embarrass you in front of a customer.
Setup is our job, not yours
Registering with mobile carriers, writing message copy, wiring a calendar — that is our work and we charge for it once. A product that expects a roofer to configure it on a Sunday evening is a product that does not understand roofers.
No contracts, because we should have to earn the month
The industry standard here is an annual commitment with the remaining balance billed if you leave. We think that exists to protect vendors from their own churn. Cancel whenever you like and take your data with you.

We start locally on purpose. Selling to somebody you might stand behind in a queue at the hardware store is a good discipline — it makes it very hard to ship something that does not work, and very easy to find out when it does not.
